Japarov suggests to bring governance system issue for referendum on Jan 10

AKIPRESS.COM - "The constitutional convention is free to work for month or two, nobody hurries it up," Sadyr Japarov said in an interview with Channel 7 said.
He said he has another proposal for the Parliament.
The Parliament has a bill of MP Kurmankul Zulushev [current General Prosecutor] on proposed referendum on governance system - presidential or parliamentary system.
"I ask parliamentarians to bring this issue to referendum on one day with the snap presidential elections. Let's aske people and will return to the draft of Constitution we are discussing today," he said.
"The second question to ask people should be whether they want parliamentary elections on party lists or mixed (35 from single mandate constituencies and 55 on party lists - 90 MPs in total)," Japarov suggested.
Under the current Constitution, the number of members of the Parliament is 120.
