Health Ministry: Kyrgyzstan sees decline in Covid-19 prevalence

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan sees decline in Covid-19 prevalence rate, Health Ministry's representative Ainura Akmatova said.
Infection reproduction number is used to assess epidemiological situation in the country, which reflects ability of one person to transmit infection to others. If this number is within 1, this means stabilization of epidemiological situation on a certain level. If it is less than 1, it means decline of prevalence rate.
"Reproduction number makes less than 1 today, this speaks of decline of coronavirus infection prevalence. However, epidemiological situation remains stably tense. For this reason we should not relax and should respect precautionary measures," Ainura Akmatova emphasized.
481 new Covid-19 cases were registered by the morning of November 24 in Kyrgyzstan.
