AKIPRESS.COM - No cattle export was registered in 3 months by the State Customs Service, said MP Salaydin Aidarov during the meeting of the parliament committee. "It turns out that according to the State Customs Service there was no official cattle export, everything was smuggled," he said. "We need to take this issue under control. You hurried with the ban. How will farms with contracts work now?" MP said.
Minister of Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov said that according to the National Statistics Committee, which takes data from the State Customs Service, about 4-5 thousand head of cattle were exported to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan since the beginning of the year.
"Uzbekistan adopted a program to support farmers, and as soon as they adopted the program, Kazakhstan banned the export of cattle, after which Kyrgyzstanis began to export cattle," the minister said.
The MP added that by banning the export of cattle, they created another corruption scheme for border guards.
