Trial of China's coronavirus vaccine starts in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The documents of the first and second phases of clinical trials of China's coronavirus vaccine and check of its quality started in Uzbekistan, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency reported. The Ministry of Innovative Development held talks with representatives of the Microbiology Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical on clinical trial of recombinant coronavirus vaccine in Uzbekistan in October.
On November 19, the Advanced Technologies Center of the Ministry of Innovations handed over vaccines, placebos, reagents to the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.
The documents of the first and second phases of clinical trials of this vaccine are studied by the pharmacological committee.
The quality of the vaccine is tested by standardization and pharmatoxicological laboratories.
It was reported earlier that production of Chinese vaccine was suspended in Brazil due to serious consequences.
It was announced last week that Uzbekistan was preparing for the third phase of clinical trials of Chinese coronavirus vaccine, which would be tested in 5,000 volunteers.
Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurahmanov told media representatives that vaccines from China, Russia, Europe and the United States will be tested in Uzbekistan.
