2-fold reduction of Kyrgyz government officials suggested in Parliament

AKIPRESS.COM - Reduction of government officials 2 or 3 times was proposed at hte plenary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
MP Abdyvahap Nurbaev (SDPK) said government officials should be halved, since significant amounts of public funds are spent for their salaries.
"If the government machine is not reduced for 50%, the budget deficit situation would be worse in 2021," he told acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov.
Artem Novikov said a commission is working now on optimization of government structure. It will be known in January what structures and state bodies should be kept, he said.
