AKIPRESS.COM - The government is working on a proposal on state regulation of prices, said acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov during the parliament session on November 25.
This initiative will be discussed with the business community, he said. If they are ready to keep the current prices, there will be no need in the state regulation, he added.
Government has introduced a ban on export of socially important goods, prices of which are increasing, he said.
"The government monitors the prices. The highest price growth is observed for meat, chicken, butter, eggs and sugar. At the same time, prices for grain, mineral fertilizers and other goods have been decreasing over the past week," he said.
Negotiations are under way with retail chains, importers on stabilization and fixing prices for basic foodstuffs, he said.
