AKIPRESS.COM - A big work is carried out in Kyrgyzstan to reduce tuberculosis morbidity and mortality, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said at the meeting with acting President Talant Mamytov.
5,096 new TB cases were registered in 2019. This made 78.9 cases per 100,000. In 2018, 5,249 new TB cases were detected, which made 83 cases per 100,000.
"The work is carried out to detect TB cases among populaiton for timely treatment of tuberculosis, improvement of diagnostics via introduction of the latest methods of molecular detection of TB cases and detection of gene mutation," the Health Minister said.
