Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces attends meeting of CSTO Council of Defense Ministers

AKIPRESS.COM - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Major-General Taalaibek Omuraliev took part in the virtual meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CSTO countries held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Defense of Russia Sergey Shoigu on Dec 1.
The participants discussed development of ties between the CSTO and the United Nations, participation of the CSTO in peacekeeping activities, challenges and threats to military security in the member states.
The parties agreed on a package of documents related to issues of joint logistics and medical support of the CSTO collective forces, military cooperation, measures on improvement of training for the CSTO authorities, etc.
Next year, Tajikistan will take over the chairmanship over the Organization.
