Kyrgyz government asks international partners' assistance with vaccination, medicines, peronal protective gear

AKIPRESS.COM - International development partners provided financial and humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan over coronavirus pandemic, acting Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov said at the meeting of the Development Partners Coordination Council, the government's press service reported.
The Council discussed possible assistance of development partners in such issues as replenishment of stock of medicines, personal protective gear and test systems, timely upgrade of Covid-19 treatment guidelines, vaccination, technical equipment for emergency healthcare service.
UN Resident Coordinator, Co-Chair of Development Partners Coordination Council Ozonnia Ojielo in turn noted importance of further strengthening of cooperation.
Ozonnia Ojielo expressed readiness to continue providing support to the government and people of Kyrgyzstan in addressing Covid-19 pandemic socio-economic effects.
