Parliament of Kyrgyzstan starts consideration of bill on presidential vs parliamentary form of government referendum

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan has started discussion of the draft law on the nation-wide referendum on form of government.
MP Akylbek Japarov (Bir Bol) said it is proposed to hold the referendum on the day of snap presidential elections - January 10, 2021.
The relevant Committee of the Parliament passed the bill in the first reading. Citizens will be asked to choose between presidential or parliamentary system during the referendum, Japarov said.
