Day of Manas Epic marked in Kyrgyzstan on December 4

The world community recognizing the enduring value of Manas epic included it into the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Caring attitude to the Manas epic, a factor of identity of the whole Kyrgyz nation, is the duty of every citizen, he noted.
The Manas epic is a symbol of national dignity and unity, a spiritual wealth and unsurpassed heritage of our people, he noted.
On December 4, 2013 the Manas epic was included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Later this day became a Day of the Manas Epic.
