Uzbekistan to build 413-meter-long bridge across Amudarya river to link Khorezm and Karakalpakstan

AKIPRESS.COM - A 413-meter-long bridge across the Amudarya river is planned to be built in Uzbekistan to connect Khorezm region and Karakalpakstan. This information came from the meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with leaders and population of Khorezm region.
"A 413-meter-long bridge across the Amudarya will be built, which will connect Khorezm and Karakalpakstan, as well as 79-km-long railway from Shavat district to Karauzyak district. 2,370 km of local roads will be repaired within the next 3 years," the president's press service reported.
The President also gave task to launch flights and railway service to Ferghana region and to sell tickets at 30% discount with the purpose of promotion of domestic tourism.
Similar practice will be then used in Termez, Samarkand and Bukhara.
