AKIPRESS.COM - Some 143 kindergartens and 1,843 schools function traditionally in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadira Jusupbekova said at the meeting of the Social Issues, Education, Science, Culture and Healthcare Committee of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
"Resumption of traditional classes at schools in Bishkek is planned since the third school term (after winter break around mid-January). Reopening of schools in Bishkek was delayed, since this is the densely populated area and the coronavirus statistics was unfavorable. But now, if the situation remains unchanged, reopening of schools in Bishkek is possible since the third quarter," Deputy Minister Jusupbekova said.
No coronavirus cases were registered in none of reopened schools so far, she added.
