Uzbekistan to preside at virtual CIS summit

AKIPRESS.COM - The virtual CIS Summit will be held on December 18 under chairmanship of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president's press service reported.
The agenda of the Summit includes aspects of current cooperation between the CIS countries and their prospects in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian cooperation, as well as counteraction to new challenges and threats.
The CIS leaders will consider the draft of concept of further development of the CIS until 2030 and the action plan, which defines strategic goals and main activities for the nearest term and mid-term.
The joint statements will be adopted following the event. The decisions will be made at different aspects of CIS activities, including the venue of the next CIS Summit in 2021.
