AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan and Tajikistan can't reach agreement on possible relaunch of regular flights between capital cities.
The countries discussed possible relaunch of flights between Dushanbe and Tashkent since November 1. Then relaunch was delayed until December 1 and later until January 1, 2021.
The flights are likely to be resumed near spring, Asia-Plus reported citing a source in the government.
A tense COVID-19 situation in both countries do not allow the authorities to make the ultimate decision on this issue promptly.
The Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan said it obtained permission of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment for resumption of flights to Tashkent.
The countries partially resumed passage of citizens on the ground borders, allowing crossing for students, citizens having children, spouses in the countries.
