AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan lacks around 1,500-2,000 teachers, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadira Jusupbekova told a press conference in Bishkek.
According to results of monitoring, the Ministry of Education sends the list of lacking teachers to public universities.
"89% of teacher shortage are covered by public teacher training universities," she said.
Besides, 30 teachers from Russia work in the south of Kyrgyzstan under an agreement with Russia, she added.
"We plan to sign another agreement to invite teachers from Russia to work in the north of the country and this way to increase the number of teachers. This would be a good exchange," the Deputy Minister of Education said.
