PCR tests effective for detection of new stain of coronavirus infection - Health Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - PCR test systems are effective for diagnostics of a new stain of coronavirus infection, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev told a briefing today.
"We were concerned about PCR tests and their effectiveness for detection of a new coronavirus stain. We asked UK specialists about that. Virus has some areas detected by PCR tests and they have not mutated. This is why PCR tests will be still effective," the Deputy Health Minister said.
PCR testing will intensified since now on in Kyrgyzstan, he added. "We will be able to detect a new stain of coronavirus infection," he said.
