Some migrant workers leave their children with their parents who need care themselves - Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - Social teachers prepare a social passport for each school student to work with their parents, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadira Jusupbekova said at the government meeting today.
The government considered the situation with implementation of the law on fight against domestic violence.
"A social teacher forwards information to social services, monitors situation with the child, takes actions if changes are visible in behavior of a child. But there are some migrant workers who leave their children with old parents, who need care themselves or leave them with relatives. We can't work with parents, since caregivers can't be held accountable," Nadira Jusupbekova said.
The Ministry proposed to oblige migrant workers to pass custody over their children to those who can take such responsibility, the Deputy Minister of Education said.
