674 people died in traffic accidents in 2020 in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - 6,038 traffic accidents were registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, acting deputy head of the main traffic police department Bayish Ashyrbekov said.
As a result of road accidents in 2019, 705 people died and 9,398 people were injured.
5,530 traffic accidents were registered in 2020. Compared to 2019, the number of accidents decreased by 8.4%.
In 2020, 674 people died as a result of crashes. Compared to 2019, traffic fatalities decreased by 4.3%.
In 2020, 8,250 people were injured in accidents, which is a 12.2% reduction compared to 2019.
Drivers are guilty in 80% of cases of accidents.
