Pnemonia fatalities grow 2.3 times in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - 505 died from pneumonia in January-October 2019, while pneumonia fatalities reached 1,189 in January-October 2020. The growth made 2.3 times, the National Statistics Committee reported citing the Ministry of Health.
9 deaths from pneumonia accounted per 100,000 population in 10 months of 2019, while this number made 22 for 10 months of this year.
The biggest excess of the average pneumonia fatality rate is observed in Chui and Naryn regions and Bishkek. Bishkek, Osh and Naryn also exceed country's average fatality rate for coronavirus infection.
1,693 died from coronavirus infection for 10 months of this year. 31 deaths per 100,000 were recorded.
