Grant agreement for Active Citizen project signed at British Embassy in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - A grant agreement for Active Citizen project was signed today in the British Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony was attended by AKIpress Director Alina Saginbaeva and Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy Jennifer Tasker.
Alina Saginbaeva noted importance of support and implementation of such projects, which produce a positive impact on development of information market in Kyrgyzstan and support active involvement of citizens in the regions of the country into democratic transformations.
Voters may have their demands for local authorities and it is important that their demands are heard, Deputy Head of Mission Jennifer Tasker said.
The Active Citizen is aimed to enhance effectiveness of services provided by local authorities in Kyrgyzstan via active involvement of civil society through online platforms. Implementation of the project will start since next year.
