AKIPRESS.COM - Boeing 777 plane hit a flock of birds while taking off in Turkey, according to the Turkish Yeni Safak.
Flight TK-6220 took off from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport at 08:40 am and was heading to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
After hitting a flock of birds, the pilot made an emergency landing, after which the aircraft was directed to a repair hangar.
The aircraft sustained serious damage to the nose cone and pressure head.
