Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan meets Election Observation Mission of Turkic Cooperation Council

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Foreign Minister Azizbek Madmarov met with the Election Observation Mission of the Turkic Cooperation Council led by Deputy Secretary General Mirvokhid Azimov on January 6. Deputy Foreign Minister Madmarov outlined the efforts made by the government to prepare for the early presidential elections and the referendum in line with democratic principles, effective national legislation and international commitments.
The Election Observation Mission was briefed about organization of voting outside Kyrgyzstan in line with COVID-19 protocols, the number of accredited international observers.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Cooperation Council wished successful elections and expressed hope the results of referendum will be used for the benefit of people of the country.
The views were also exchanged on prospects of cooperation between Turkic Cooperation Council member states and relevant international issues.
