Commercial entities should switch from coal burning to gas - acting PM

AKIPRESS.COM - Use of coal as fuel should be prohibited for commercial entities, they should switch over to gas, acting Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov said at the meeting with experts and environmentalists on problem of smog in Bishkek.
"We will prohibit spas, public baths and other commercial entities to burn coal or we will require filtering systems. We can't prohibit people to buy poor quality coal, but commercial entities should switch to use of gas instead of coal," Artem Novikov said.
"A laboratory will be set up at the Academy of Sciences or the Environmental Protection and Forestry Agency, which will test the quality of coal and issue its quality certificate. People will know the quality of coal and the level of ash content in the coal they are buying," he said.
