AKIPRESS.COM - The automated ballot box should not count one cast ballot as two, Central Election Commission Chair Nurjan Shaildabekova told a press briefing today.
The statement was made after a report about the automated ballot box counting one cast ballot as two at the polling station #3132 in Karakol.
The Central Election Commission Chair said she needs to check this information.
"The only similar case was registered during the past elections, when the ballot box crunched up the ballot and then ejected it. The box counted the ballot twice at that time. Counting of two ballots for one cast is impossible in normal functioning of the box," the CEC Chair stated.
