Presidential candidate Kursan Asanov: Post-election unrest to bring nothing good for Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Post-election unrest will bring nothing good, presidential candidate Kursan Asanov said in his comments about the early presidential election results.
"We need to learn lessons from past events and to take into account opinion of people. We should not repeat our previous mistakes, we should not allow recurremce of October events," Kursan Asanov said.
He said people are tired of protests, which is proved by low turnout.
"We saw a very low voter turnout. Just 18% of 3.5 million voters have voted as of 2.00 p.m. Then suddenly the number of voters has grown in Osh, Osh region, Jalal-Abad region and Issyk-Kul region. The government's control is needed with that," Asanov said.
As of 9.24 p.m., Kursan Asanov gained 6,733 or 0.5% of votes in total. Particularly, he gained 1.33% of votes in Bishkek; 0.5% votes in Osh; 0.11% in Issyk-Kul region; 0.26% in Naryn region; 0.8% in Chui region; 0.48% in Talas region; 0.52% in Osh region; 0.15% in Jalal-Abad region; 0.18% in Batken region; 0% abroad.
