3 parties win seats in Kazakh parliament, exit poll shows

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazahstanis voted in parliamentary elections on January 10. Results of exit poll announced by Ainur Mazhitova, director of research institute Kogamdyk Pikir, were as following:
People's Party of Kazakhstan (PPK) - 9.03 percent of votes;
Nur Otan party - 71.97 percent;
Auyl party - 5.75 percent;
Ak Zhol party - 10.18 per cent;
ADAL political party - 3.07 percent.
The threshold to win seats in the parliament is 7 percent.
"On January 10, the Kogamdyk Pikir institute conducted the exit polls. Interviews were conducted at 600 polling stations, including 316 urban and 284 rural. The survey covered the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, all regional centers, cities of district importance, small towns and rural settlements. Four waves of polling were conducted during the day with 24 thousand voters involved. The margin of error of the poll was within 2 percent. More than 600 interviewers were involved in the poll," said Aynur Mazhitova.
