AKIPRESS.COM - Some 13,452 citizens have voted in the early presidential elections and the referendum on government system at 48 polling stations abroad, the Foreign Ministry said.
Voting was arranged in accordance with COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The first polling station abroad opened in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in Russia, at 3.00 a.m. Bishkek time. The last polling station to close abroad was the station at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Washington D.C. - at 7.00 a.m. Bishkek time of January 11.
333 international observers from 44 countries representing 31 international organizations monitored the elections.
The Foreign Ministry said it accredited 96 foreign media representatives from 11 countries to cover the early presidential elections and the referendum.
