AKIPRESS.COM - Chief state sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan Yerlan Kiyasov said the coronavirus situation in Kazakhstan has recently worsened. "In the last month we have seen a worsening of the epidemiological situation in the country. Kazakhstan has gone from a "green" to a "yellow" zone," he said.
Kostanai and Akmola regions moved from the yellow to the red zone.
Nur-Sultan, Almaty, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Atyrau regions are marked yellow.
In January the West-Kazakhstan region moved from the green to yellow. The rest of the regions are in the green zone, Kiyasov said.
5,732 coronavirus patients are hospitalized across the country and 357 patients in intensive care units, he said.
In the past 24 hours Kazakhstan confirmed 766 new daily cases bringing the total of confirmed cases to 164,477.
