Huge 6.5 kg baby born in Karakol

AKIPRESS.COM - A baby boy weighing 6 kg 440 grams was born for the first time in Karakol, Issyk-Kul region, regional representative of the Ministry of Health Beishekan Jailymysheva told Turmush.
The boy was born on January 14 at about 11:00 a.m. through a caesarean section. Conditions of mother and child are good, she said.
The mother is 39, lives in Karakol. It was her fifth delivery.
"The newborn is in the intensive care unit. His condition is good. The mother and baby are under medical supervision," she said.
There were newborn babies weighing over 5 kg in their practice before, but over 6 kg baby was born for the first time.
Staff at the hospital added that since the beginning of the year, 21 babies weighing more than 4 kg were born. Before January 15, 168 babies were born.
