AKIPRESS.COM - Jazeera Airways plans to resume Kuwait-Osh-Kuwait flight from February 2 and open a new international flight Kuwait-Bishkek-Kuwait from February 4, 2021, said Vice President of Jazeera Airways Ratan Ratnakar during the meeting with Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads Talantbek Soltobaev on January 15, reports the Ministry of Transport. The airline plans to use the right to fifth degree of freedom of the air to perform flights through Kyrgyzstan to Asian countries and other spots.
Abdulaziz Botbayev, counselor of the Kyrgyz embassy in the State of Kuwait, said that opening flights from Bishkek and Osh will allow for exports of Kyrgyz products to markets in Kuwait and Gulf nations, and increase tourist flow from Arab countries to Kyrgyzstan.
Soltobayev said that the ministry supports the airline's initiative to resume the Kuwait-Osh-Kuwait flight and open a new regular flight Kuwait-Bishkek-Kuwait. He said these flights give an opportunity to expand the geography of flights and develop tourism between the two countries.
The Kyrgyz Republic has decided to grant the right of fifth freedom of air to foreign airlines to increase number of flights, and called on Vice President of Jazeera Airways Ratan Ratnakar to consider the possibility of performing flights under the fifth degree of freedom of air.
