Around 400 drivers of public mini-buses go on strike in Bishkek demanding fare raise

AKIPRESS.COM - Around 400 drivers of public mini-buses today went on strike demanding to raise fare.
Drivers of 4 routes went on strike, the rest drivers work as normally, Bishkek transport department said.
Possible raise of fare will be considered. A working group was set up for this purpose, the department added.
"After preparation of all necessary documents, we should analyze regulatory impact, then obtain approval of the Ministry of Economy. After that a draft of resolution will be prepared for consideration by the Bishkek local council," the department said.
Drivers of 104 buses and 140 trolleybuses work as normally today, the department said.
