Pneumonia fatalities grow 2.4 times in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The pneumonia fatalities grew 2.4 times in Kyrgyzstan. Some 533 people died from pneumonia in January-November 2019. In January-November 2020, the number of deaths from pneumonia reached 1,287, according to the National Statistics Committee. 9 deaths from pneumonia accounted for 100,000 population for 11 months of 2019, while for 10 months of 2020 this figure made 21.
The highest excess of average pnemonia fatality rate was observed in Chui and Naryn regions, Bishkek. Coronavirus fatality rate is the highest in Bishkek, Osh and Talas region.
The biggest growth in pneumonia prevalence rate is reported in Issyk-Kul region - 2.2 times, Bishkek - 1.8 times, Chui region - 1.5 times.
Around 28,000 people visited medical facilities in connection with coronavirus infection for 11 months of 2020. Most of these visits account for Bishkek - 29%, Osh region - 21%, Chui region - 14%, Jalal-Abad region - 12%.
Around 47,000 people with coronavirus infection were transported to hospitals for 11 months of 2020, most of them are in Osh region - 16%, Jalal-Abad region - 14%, Chui region - 11%.
