5,600 foreigners received work quotas in 2020 in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan allocated 16,610 quotas for foreign workforce for 2020 and only 5,600 foreign workers received work permits due to coronavirus pandemic, State Migration Service Vice Chairman Samat Toktobolotov said. MP Beishenaly Nurdinov said all quotas are obtained by nationals of China. "There are no quotas for others. Lots of migrants from Uzbekistan come to us for seasonal work," the MP said.
State Migration Service Vice Chairman Samat Toktobolotov said the draft law on cross-border migration was developed. The work on this bill is still ongoing. Hopefully, this bill will start working since summer, the MP said.
