3 killed, 3 injured in explosion at thermal power plant outside Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - Three people died, 3 more received burns as a result of explosion at Novo-Angren thermal power plant outside Tashkent, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The plant stopped its work yesterday for repair. The explosion of coal dust and air mixture occurred at around noon today in the 5th unit of the plant.
"Three people died of injuries, three more received burns of various degree of severity as a result of explosion durin repair," said the report.
The investigation was launched to determine causes of explosion.
Equipment of the plant was not damaged.
