Atambayev's no-show at court again, trial into illegal school construction postponed

AKIPRESS.COM - On January 21, the Pervomai district court of Bishkek postponed the trial against former President Almazbek Atambayev. Court said the ex-President was not brought to the session, just like his attorney Sergei Slesarev.
The next court hearing will be held February 9.
Atambayev is accused of abuse of office over the construction of a school in the Kalys-Ordo residential place. The defendant in that case was former Bishkek mayor Kubanychbek Kulmatov, who was fined for 4.4m soms.
