Kyrgyz Health Ministry preparing information on COVID-19 herd immunity

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan is prearing information on COVID-19 herd immunity.
The Health Ministry is conducting large-scale SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence survey, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said in Parliament today.
"We will obtain information on percentage of population having SARS-CoV-2 antibodies on January 27," he said.
The Ministry of Health said earlier 4,691 people were tested for COVID-19 antibodies during the first phase of SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence survey conducted from July to October 2020 with technical assistance of WHO Country Office. The survey found that the percentage of people having SARS-CoV-2 antibodies by the beginning of August made 30.8%.
