AKIPRESS.COM - The members of the interdepartmental commission that checked effectiveness of COVID-19 response and use of humanitarian aid in Kyrgyzstan visited the Semetei hospital on the territory of former US air base outside Bishkek. It was used as an observation facility at the beginning of pandemic, but later was repurposed as hospital for patients with COVID-19.
64 million soms (around $750,000) was spent for repair of the facility, commission member Aidai Tursunbekova said.
500,000 soms was spent for repair of laundry and bathrooms, 600,000 soms was spent for repair of laboratory, she added.
"All walls are covered with mould. I have seen such repair for the first time when floor covering junctions were fastened with adhesive tape. One can see from photos what kind of repair was done in Semetei hospital," Aidai Tursunbekova said.
