Russian construction firms to hire workers from Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian construction firms PIK Industry and TechStroi plan to hire over 14,000 migrant workers from Uzbekistan for construction of apartment buildings in 2021.
They will work at construction sites in Moscow and Moscow region. The information was confirmed in the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Russia.
Representatives of the Russian construction firms arrived in Uzbekistan to recruit workers.
Several thousands citizens of Uzbekistan were recruited in December 2020, who already started their work in Russia.
Russian authorities plan to increase the number of recruited migrant workers to 100,000.
Uzbekistan and Russia signed the agreement on labor migration in 2017. The agreement allows to legalize work of several thousands migrant workers from Uzbekistan in Russia.
