Japan provides over $31,000 for equipment to medical facility in Shopokov town

AKIPRESS.COM - The ceremony of signing of grant-contracts on improvement of healthcare services in Shopokov town under Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects was held at the Embassy of Japan on January 22.
The medical facility of Shopokov will receive medical equipment for $31,297.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Japan Shigeki Maeda, representatives of the Health Ministry, heads of respective healthcare organizations.
Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev expressed gratitude to the Embassy and people of Japan for contribution into development of healthcare sector of Kyrgyzstan via grant assistance of the government of Japan and expressed hope the provided assistance will allow to improve the quality of delivered health care services to population in Shopokov town.
Ambassador Shigeki Maeda said the Grant Assistance for Human Security Projects supports community-based projects in such sectors as health care, education, social development and expressed hope the provided assistance will be used effectively.
