Tajikistan to send 400 workers to Russia

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajik authorities said they prepared a program for labor migration of more than 400 nationals in cooperation with the authorities of the host country, who will work in Irkutsk, Russia.
The group will arrive in Irkutsk in next few days and will begin work in construction sector.
Some migrant workers were skeptical about such programs, saying they were unsuccessful last year.
Russia and Tajikistan signed the agreement on recruitment of workers from Tajikistan 2 years ago. Recruitment of workers was not very productive.
Over a million of Tajik migrant workers arrive in Russia to work. Regular flights between Russia and Tajikistan were halted last year with coronavirus outbreak. Hundreds of thousands of Tajik migrants could not travel to Russia for work due to coronavirus pandemic.
