Damage from post-election attack on Health Insurance Fund building in Bishkek nears 2 million soms

AKIPRESS.COM - The office of the Health Insurance Fund in Bishkek was attacked and looted following post-election protests of October 5-6. The computers were stolen. All documents remained safe on server, Fund Vice Chairperson Klara Oskombaeva told AKIpress.
The Health Insurance Fund has a good information system, she said.
"We always ask to submit electronic applications for compensations from health workers alongside hard copies. Despite all computers were stolen, all information and applications of health workers for compensations were kept safe on the server. For this reason we were able to pay all compensations to health workers on Covid-19 frontlines in November," Klara Oskombaeva stated.
The size of the damage is estimated at around 2 million soms. "These incude stolen computers, broken doors, furniture, windows," she said.
