30,443 people in Ulaanbaatar get first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - Since February 23 when the COVID-19 vaccination kicked off in Mongolia, a total of 30,443 people have received the first dose of vaccine as of March 9 engaging 48 immunization teams at 35 locations in 9 districts of Ulaanbaatar, said O. Dashpagma, Director of the Vaccination Department of the National Center for Communicable Diseases, on March 10.
47.1 percent were healthcare personnel, 16.6 percent were personnel of emergency management, specialized inspection and border protection while 11.3 percent were staff members of organizations and entities. There had not been any serious side effects or complications after the injection, Montsame reports.
94 immunization teams are working at 46 locations in the capital city.
