Maslenitsa festival held in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek celebrated Maslenitsa. A concert dedicated to the festival took place in front of the Ministry of Culture in Bishkek on March 14. Russian Embassy, mayor's office of Bishkek, Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, Russian Cultural Center "Harmony" were organizers of the event.
Maslenitsa is an Eastern Slavic religious and folk holiday celebrated during the last week before Great Lent, that is, the eighth week before Eastern Orthodox Pascha.
