12 Kyrgyz nationals detained in Tajikistan for illegal border crossing repatriated to Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Twelve citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were detained in Tajikistan for illegal border crossing, were repatriated to Kyrgyzstan, Batken region administration's press service reported.
The detained citizens included 5 residents of Batken region, 2 residents of Osh region. They were brought to Kyrgyzstan on March 13 and 14.
Tajik authorities earlier released 2 residents of Bishkek.
The citizens receveid back their seized properties, including vehicles. They were released after payment of fines for illegal border crossing.
The governors of Batken region of Kyrgyzstan and Sughd region of Tajikistan will hold talks tomorr to discuss the issues related to border areas, including reopening of Kulundu and Kairagach border crossing points, which were closed due to coronavirus pandemic.
Kyrgyz authorities detained 15 citizens of Tajikistan for illegal border crossing. They will face sanctions in line with the effective legislation.
