13 soldiers contract TB in Kyrgyzstan, source detected

AKIPRESS.COM - Thirteen soldiers contracted tuberculosis, Bishkek TB Hospital Chief Tamara Bayalieva told AKIpress on March 15.
They include 12 soldiers from the air defense missile brigade and 1 soldier from another unit.
The first soldiers were admitted to the TB Hospital on January 21.
"The condition of soldiers is fair. We plan to discharge the first patient this week. They all have latent form of TV. Probably, the soldier who had active TB, received treatment in another hospital, she said.
The Defense Ministry said the epimideological study was conducted by the medical service of the State Defense Committee. The source of TV was found.
All servicemen and staff underwent X-ray examination of chest to locate any more TB cases.
The situation is under a special control of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, the Defense Ministry said.
