AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbek authorities are accepting medical certificates with PCR test results for coronavirus infection made in other countries and do not require to make tests upon arrival into the country. This information was confirmed by deputy director of Osh sanitary and epidemiological control center Mamirasul Omurzakov. Border guards of Uzbekistan accept medical certificates with PCR test results for coronavirus infection made by citizens of Kyrgyzstan in home country, he said.
Such agreement was reached during visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.
"Since January 25, the Uzbek side did not accept the medical certificates with PCR test results made in other countries. Despite negative test results, citizens were required to make tests on the border. The Uzbek side will accept the test results now, but they should not delivered no more than 72 hours ago," Mamirasul Omurzakov stated.
The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan said mandatory rapid testing for COVID-19 in airports, bus and train stations, border crossing poitns will be canceled since March 15.
The list of laboraties which certificates are recognized by Uzbekistan will be published before March 25.
Uzbekistan required rapid tests for COVID-19 antigens for all people arriving into the country since December 25 before.
