AKIPRESS.COM - There are enough doctors now in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said on March 18.
The Health Minister said many are willing to work in view of financial incentives and moral aspects.
"Medics are ready. More than 35,000 medical workers received training on Covid-19. I think we are ready for the third wave of coronavirus infection in view of the shortcomings revealed during the first wave," he said.
"The same number of infected people was during the second wave. We provided enough hospital beds, personal protective gear, life saving ventilators, oxygen concentrators in September-November. We hold the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment every week, checking supplies of hospitals and providing resources to hospitals running out of them," the Minister said
There were 485 lung ventilators before start of pandemic in the country. Now their number doubled with more than 800 ventilators available.
There are 8,888 oxygen concentrators obtained with support of sponsors, volunteers, the Minister said.
