Tashkent mayor makes working visit to Ashgabat

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of Uzbekistan led by Tashkent mayor Jahongir Artikhojaev made a working visit to Ashgabat. Tashkent mayor Artikhojaev held talks with Ashgabat mayor Yaztagan Gilizhov concerning development and strengthening of bilateral ties.
The Ashgabat mayor presented the project on construction of Tashkent park in the capital of Turkmenistan. The park will be erected in the historical center of Ashgabat and will occupy 3 ha area.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov came up with the initiative of construction of Tashkent Park in Ashgabat. He said this at the meeting with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.
Ashgabat has the street named after Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi and Alisher Navoi Monument at the Alley of Inspiration.
Berdimuhamedov then invited Uzbek companies to participate in the tender for construction of Tashkent Park in Ashgabat.
