AKIpress launches Active Citizen project to help citizens address problems locally

AKIPRESS.COM - The Active Citizen portal was launched in test mode since March 2021 by AKIpress news agency. This project is aimed to help citizens in improving and solving infrastructure problems at rural municipality and district level. Any citizen facing infrastructure problem in their district or street may send a report to the Active Citizen portal supporting it with a photo or a video.

People are free to complain about bad condition of roads, absence of street lighting or problems with water supply ignored by local authorities. The Active Citizen platform will highlight this problem on the most visited information resource of Kyrgyzstan and this way will try to help solution of the problem.
This way the Active Citizen project will enable all indifirent citizens and representatives of local authorities to make their contribution into improvement of the country.
The project was made possible due to support of the British Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. The opinions (videos/publications) posted on the portal are those of the authors and do not reflect the official position of the British Embassy or the government.
